Kim Bright

 A little bit about myself…..

My Fiance Joe and me

I love all things crafty the more creative the better!

It all started about a year and a half ago when a friend taught me how to make friendship bracelets, I loved the idea of being able to make my own jewellery and branched out to making jewellery using different kinds of beads. The trips to the local craft shops became more frequent and my jewellery box soon filled up quick! I loved making jewellery as presents for my friends and family and the look on their faces when they realised that it was handmade…… and by me! was fantastic! It was then that I decided I was ready to sell, so together with my good friend and fellow beader Emma Grant we decided to have our first sale which was held in July last year at the Laichmoray Hotel in Elgin, the day was very successful for the both of us. The week after I found myself selling at my first craft fair which I thoroughly enjoyed, after that I was hooked. I spent the next six months searching and attending as many local craft fairs as I could!

Jewellery set up for a craft fair

As well as craft fairs I have started to host “Handmade Jewellery Parties” which have also proven to be successful! Having a jewellery party is a great excuse to have a girlie night in, to catch up with friends and family, have a chat and a giggle over a few munchies and a bottle of wine whilst giving you the opportunity to purchase some unique jewellery and as a reward for hosting this fun and entertaining event I will give the hostess 10% commission on all sales! Great blog Kim! Have you thought about putting in some close-ups of your work? I think people would love to see up-close the beautiful jewellery you make.
